Proud Mum To Be

Its been a while since I wrote a blog, mainly because of the fact of no internet, I am able to access Facebook on my phone, but not much else, plus my phone is just evil when it comes to emails now. I am sending this via a friends internet luckily enough. I have been pretty busy the last few weeks sorting baby stuff out. If you dont know yet, I am expecting, I am now 21 weeks pregnant. I went for my 20 week scan on friday, and I did find out the sex of the baby, it will be a little girl :)
A lot of people thought she would be a boy because the way I was carrying, and the way she looked on the scan, plus because of my cravings. What people didnt get was, I have been borderlined animic! This is why craving savory foods, like Bacon and Pork. I still like my sweets, and I haven't had any unusual cravings, it is pretty much a normal pregnancy. She is moving and kicking like normal, and loves to sleep on my bladder, which annoys me, as I tend to need the toilet when she does that. At the scan I got to see each one of her bones, and her heart, it was amazing!! At least she layed the right way around this time lol! My first scan I had she layed upside down! I think she just wanted to be different!! I love my little girl so much already, she is just so adorable, I know she isn't born yet, but I feel like the luckiest person alive to have my little girl. I have a few girls names in mind, nothing definate yet, which is a shame, since I found a boys name I loved! It is just so hard to pick a name for your child!! I had one in my mind chosen for years, but now I am pregnant, it dont seem right for her, so I have to pick another, I am sure in time I will find one for her, and it will most likely be when she is born!
At least she has loads of clothes now, so one thing I will ask to any friend who wants to get the baby something, please make it 3+ months, I have so many newborn, and my family have bought me so many 0-3 months, or do the next best thing, toys!! I have no toys, so it should be easy lol. She has a playmat and some little stack things, but things like soft blocks and little rings she can hold on to and chew would be good. Go as colorful as you like!! In time I plan to buy her books, I would love it if she loved reading like me, or had one thing taken off me, I plan to be a massive influence in her life, and a good influence. After all, I will be the one there for her all the time, teaching her to walk, teaching her to talk, teaching her right from wrong, I will always be there. It may be hard for single mums, but I am determined to do whatever is best for her, no matter the sacrifice!!

Joys of a Sofa

I have had the most awesome day EVER!!!
It didn't start that way, I had a row with Three Mobile, balled my eyes out on how I had no money, then came the good parts! I bumped into my neighbor Jaz in town, and she cheered me up, A LOT!! We went food shopping and had a good laugh! Then I popped up to my friends Gemma's to grab the sofa, it was so funny, we couldnt work out how to get the sofa out of her flat, it was easy until we got to the stairs, we said it reminded us of Friends the TV show, and me and Gemma kept saying "Pivert, Pivert, PIVERT" then burst out laughing when it got stuck in the stairs, and said a hobo could live under it lol.
Her neighbour helped us get it down the stairs, then we got it across the road, we managed to get it into my block of flats and to the stairs, I started lifting it up, then Chris pushed it quicker than I thought, so I fell up the stairs and dropped the sofa, and it started sliding back down. I was laughing too much to pick the sofa back up, it looked like the sofa was chasing after him!! By the time I managed to pick it up again, we got it up, then it got stuck again, which set me into laughter again! My stairway is not tiny, but its awkward lol! We eventually managed to get it into the flat, then came our next problem, getting it through my living room door! My hallway is tiny and a lot more awkward! We tried everything we could think of, and all Chris could say is; "Get some lube!"
We laughed so much about that, because he kept saying it, it just got funnier each time!! We had to give up for the day as the sofa was just too big to fit through my living room door, so me and Chris went and got something to eat, as I was not able to enter my kitchen lol. Once we came back, we where doing what we usually do, and sit and chat about anything and everything, then he randomly come out with "I just thought of somthing we haven't tried!"
I just looked at him funny and was willing to try anything to get the massive sofa through the door at that point, so I listened what he suggested, and we did it, until it got stuck again! he got his wish of lube though! We got some washing up liquid, and put it on the fabric, it started to go through again, until it got stuck again, and thought about taking the door off its hindges to see if it would help, so I went to Jaz and asked her for one, so she come down, and we didn't need a screwdriver after all!! with the three of us we managed to get it through like a bar of soap!! We where so happy when the sofa was finally in the living room, we jumped on the sofa to celebrate!

I have decided though, if I decide to move, or get a new sofa, there is no way in hell that sofa will be able to leave in one piece, so we will tear it apart and use it for a bonfire!! Though I do plan to use that sofa for a good year or two before we do anything like that!!
I am increadably happy now, I have my sofa, soon I will be getting some shelves for my books and DVD's, plus a wardrobe, 2 tables and a computer desk!! Even my carpet will be fitted next week!! So things are moving along, and soon this flat will be my perfect little home :D

Stuff...

Wow... 24 page views today.. never expected that to be honest, I keep an eye on my page views to see if anyone reads my blogs. I suppose you are wondering why I am writing another blog today, you will see it is because I feel a little down, and need to write. I hoped, really hoped that a few of my friends would say they will come visit me, and I've got nothing.... diddly squat.... and it kind of upsets me.
I have moved into my new flat like I have said, and it seems not many care, I just want a little company, and see some friends, but no replies makes me feel a little lonely. I think I just want something to look forward to that is close, and I get to have a laugh. I have a couple of friends in the area, I just don't want to overstay my welcome by seeing them all the time, as they have other friends like I do. Sorry about this seeming a little depressive, I think lack of money has made me miss out on so much that its getting me down... It does make me miss living in London, the amount of people I know, and my family is there, but this is supposed to be my future, my lively hood, my new home. Maybe not having a job really is driving me insane... Plus me being alone, is never a good thing... I think... an awful lot... and I shouldn't... I suppose I like being occupied.. not used to quietness and free time...

I'm off to keep occupied...

I will try and make a more.. happier blog soon..

So I have had an adventurus few months!! Been having a couple of health problems, but I really don't want to go into it, about 2 or 3 people know, but thats it. Also, if you have me on Facebook you will know I have moved!! If you did have me on Facebook, but don't now, re-add me, I deleted a load of people a while back in a rage of anger, but I don't see why you cant re-add me.
Anywho.. as I was saying, I have moved into my own little flat! It is a one bedroom flat, but to me its massive!! I am in progress in decorating, and waiting for a new bath and fireplace :D gotta love the council sometimes :D I have already got the living room half finished, just needs one coat of paint on one wall, my carpet finally fitted, and sofa and tv brought around, once all my stuff is in there and its decorated with a couple of shelves, the living room will be so homely.
My bedroom also needs carpet, but I am leaving my bedroom untill last, even though I did get bored and a little creative and decided to paint one wall and off white color lol. My hallway needs carpet, but it is painted, and kitchen needs a lick of paint. Don't get me started on my bathroom... its... horrible...!!! But once all is done it will be lovely, I cant wait :D
Hence no blog in a while.. I have just been so busy with moving, I haven't really had much of a chance to write any blogs. With gas, electric and council coming around all the time, it has just been so hecktic around here!! Though one thing I would like to mention is, soon I will be having a small get together, If your one of the lucky ones invited, I will send an FB inbox soon :)

One thing I am looking forward to is I will be going into Mancester twice this year, once for the Blink 182 gig, and again for the Manchester Expo, Plus Manchester Expo falls on my birthday :D
I cant wait, IT WILL BE AWESOME!!!!
It is Chris' birthday this week, I hope he has a nice one, I love him so much <3

SOPA and PIPA - How will it affect me?

SOPA and PIPA - How will it affect me?

Before I get into my own opinion on SOPA and PIPA, I am sure some of you are not aware what they are so to explain what is SOPA and PIPA, here is a bit from our beloved Wikipeadia;

"SOPA and PIPA represent two bills in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate respectively. SOPA is short for the "Stop Online Piracy Act," and PIPA is an acronym for the "Protect IP Act." ("IP" stands for "intellectual property.") In short, these bills are efforts to stop copyright infringement committed by foreign web sites, but, in our opinion, they do so in a way that actually infringes free expression while harming the Internet. Detailed information about these bills can be found in the Stop Online Piracy Act and Protect IP Act articles on Wikipedia."

As you can see, it is based in the US, but that's the question on every body's mind; How will it affect me? We in the UK and other parts of Europe are wondering this, some are suggesting it will not effect us, as if the bill goes to US Law, then its US Law not UK Law and so forth. Some are believing it will affect us, just take a look on some of the sites you use. The BBC website is; www.bbc.co.uk. Now re-read the website link, it has: dot co dot UK!! It is a UK based website, they will not be affected unless the law is passed over here. Some websites have it too (.co.uk) Google for instance, there is www.google.com, but there is also www.google.co.uk, same with Facebook too. Then again... where are they based? Oh yes, the US!! Their websites will be filtered, same with, Yahoo, Ask, and Bing, not to mention Wikipedia too!! All US based searches, that searches all over the world to find what you need. Wikipeadia store everything, from where Apples grow, to where Zebras came from, you can find out things about your favourite celebrity too! Think about all the things you can access, Anime, Movies, Manga, Pictures of those film stars you love to print out and stick on your walls. Soon most of that will be GONE!! Celebrities are with SOPA and PIPA as their details will be taken down, but so will so much more. I can understand that downloading films and music online is against the law, and they want it stopped, but why punish so many millions than shut down the sites doing so.
Who reading this remembers that website that popped up in 2005 everywhere? That same site that to this day has roughly "72 million people visiting per month"?
That website is known as YouTube. We all use it, and have done for years!! The original idea was to create a dating site where people could be classified based on their videos, but it never turned out that way. In winter 2006 YouTube was bought out by Google for $1650 million dollars. YouTube has signed two agreements with Universal Music Group and CBS, and Google had signed agreements with Sony BMG and Warner Music to distribute music videos. Also;

"Disney signed in late March 2009 an agreement with YouTube, allowing transmission short video of the ABC and ESPN. Disney may submit ads on YouTube with this treatment. In April 2009, Google announced that YouTube signed alliances with some Hollywood studios."- artlaco.articlealley.com

The main reason I am bringing up YouTube here is they have had lawsuits and have signed agreements. We all thought we where doomed when this went across the US then following the world. We cannot access some of the stuff posted on YouTube anymore as they are set to country's, if there is a video you want to watch, and it is not available, the message will say; "This video is not available in your country"
The same thing will happen if SOPA and PIPA will come into effect, the difference is here, it is a law passed, not a company suing another company. Look at what happened to YouTube, it effected the whole world. This law also will affect the whole world, but it will not affect us overnight, the changes will be small, but they will grow fast and rapid. If it does, you will start seeing some changes in YouTube, as videos will be taken down quickly as some are still known as illegal copies, as you download the video to make your AMV's (Animated Music Video's).

One thing that did get brought to my attention was how much the Anime and Manga world will be effected. I saw on Facebook a conversation about this, someone was saying how it will not affect us at all, and we will be fine. I have to say, Japan has for years been trying to stop FREE online feeds of animation and manga. After all it is streaming, and just one step away from downloading. When you watch anime online or reading manga online, you are not paying towards the companies to publish the manga or anime. So of course they will be with SOPA and PIPA. If the US manages it, then Japan will try too, and the rest of the world will follow.

Now in hoping you have read this far, I would like to say this is my own view on things, I have got facts and information from other sites, so please, do not sit there and comment below saying how wrong I am, and how I should look things up. Well I have, and this is how I see it. Everyone has a right to their own opinion and freedom of speech, and guess what? So am I! I feel that if SOPA and PIPA is STOPPED then we will all be fine, students (College and University) will have the knolage at their fingertips, normal every day people can just go online and sort their problems out (we have all done it at least once, I have). Looking online for new manga and anime will be possible, even looking up a celebrity, or movie. We only do all this to learn more, we are only human after all, we feel the need to learn as much as possible about things that appeal to us, so if this is stopped in America, it will be stopped for the rest of us!!

Wow, its been a while!!

I forgot my damn password, so I haven't been able to post my blogs, I have been writing some blogs for another site, but don't threat, I will still upload blogs on here too, shortly after this one I will be uploading a 'SOPA and PIPA' blog, and my views, I am aware hardly anyone reads this, if anyone does at all. A comment would be nice, but at least i get to explain how I feel on topics and stuff :)
